paintwork help please
howdy folks of the shire
as most of you know we painted the caddy matt black using rollers. the result is rather textured paint. it is about to get signwritten so want to make it a little more presentable
i have started to flat it off using wet and dry. tried 1000 but got no where. tried 600 but not much better. had a beer and rubbed very lightly with 80 (yeah yeah, i know...) and that just scratched it.
tonight i went over it with 240 and that seems to be a decent compromise - it is actually flatting it off without leaving heavy scratches BUT it is also now making the lovely m att paint shine!!!
what to do? thinking flat it off then spray it? but want to prove all the haters wrong...

Re: paintwork help please
send gareth home, flat it back, clean all the glue and stuff off properly, mask it off,and spray it.
will give you a much better finish with less effort, unless you can flat the paint thats on it alredy to a point where it looks ok.
