Lowering MK4 on 19's??
hey, just got some springs from a coilie kit for penuts, my query is.....
Im running 19" audi rs6's with 235/35/19 and wonderd if id have any issues with it rubbing and could some1 also clarify if the springs will fit without the adjusters??(they are for the rear) as some1 pointed out to me that they where narow compared to the stock springs and that they may not fit, is this true or will the slot into place as they are??
Here are the springs:
And this is the standard ride hight on the rear (as it stands now):
The springs offer a 40mil drop and where origionaly for a mk1 audi a3
Any healp appreciated cheers

Yes mate they will fit on a 40mm drop, the gap in the second pic looks like they would lower it so that it will be sat rite on top on the wheels, should see it rubbing. I have seen lots of mk4's running 19's lowered about the same height and not had to do any arch work.
Plug and play and lets see what happens

Yeah you are. Are you sure they are a different width to the standard one as the mk4's have seperate shock spring set up and as such i would have thought that all the springs made for them would be the same width?????

Re: Lowering MK4 on 19's??
thioreticaly speaking the should, but i cant stop thinking it wont coz a spring for coilies will be seaten on a litle bung that has the thread underneath it for hight adjustment, iv herd of people going as low as there coilies allow and still wanna go lower.... they resulted in removing the bung and threaded part (taking the hight adjusters out of the setup) and therefor archieve an even lower stance

Usually people who fit the springs without the adjusters either lockwire or cable tie the springs in place at the bottom just to be sure they dont move about or come out when the car is jacked up.
Obviously they wont go anywhere when the full weight of the car is on them.
