SCOPOPHOBIA
As requested, here is a quick build thread.
SCOPOPHOBIA = The fear of been seen!
Almost three years ago I bought this mk2 Scirocco Scala.
I very quickly lowered it on coilovers and put a set of Ronal LS's on which look fantastic on the car.
Then added a few little things that make it mine, i'm a huge metal fan and it comes across in the car.
This is starting to rust up really well now!
My lass got these made up for me.
Then the fog lights came off.
Then the must for any mk2 Scirocco, clear front and side indecaters.
....then an iron cross rear view mirror.
Exhaust next.
from,
to,
And that was it for a while.

Re: SCOPOPHOBIA
.....later I wanted to get a better stance.
So I invested in a set of wheel spacers for the rear, 20mm hub centric each side should do it.
before,
after,
Then I the task of rolling the arches!!!!!
...and now I have no rubbing problems, I could go lower but I play bass in a band and my amp is seven and a half stone! So I need that little clearence.
Since then its been off the road for almost 6 months on and off with engine trouble. But i'm just about on top now. Could do with a pro to tune it now I feel.

Re: SCOPOPHOBIA
Love this car!
C&R enterprises in Nottingham might be a decent shout for your tuning woes. They definitely know their stuff and have sorted out my k-jet in the past. I also noticed (afterwards) the guy who worked on my car does the Q&A in one of the VW magazines

Re: SCOPOPHOBIA
Wow your rear view mirror has a camera in it.
Looks loads better with the rear wheels spaced out.

Really like this ride mate, done a good job. Funny how much difference some wheels and collies make to a car. How did you find the handling on the car when you put spacers on them? Thinking of getting some for when i put my summer wheels on.

Re: SCOPOPHOBIA
Not noticed any difference in handling with the spacers on, not any worse anyway.

Re: SCOPOPHOBIA
Again, i've not noticed, I can through it into corners and not had any understeer (new tyres maybe helping).
But at my age I don't go thrashing around so much these days to get understeer.

Not the most interesting of developments, but I painted my rear tow hook thing. As its was looking a little rusty and sorry for its self.
