fookin birds......

right , have had our garden rotavted , raked etc today and grass seed thrown down, it is now like flippin doctor dolittles kitchen window sill with load of birds out there eating all the grass seeds!! any ideas as to keeping the little bastids off it?? have bunged a load of sticks out there with cable ties holding carrier bags so they make a noise, but no sooner than i leave the area the little fookers are back!! its quite a big area of a new build property so not really going to be able to buy loads of netting to put above the gound to stop them, cant let the dogs out as the boundry hedge etc isnt dog safe yet so they have to stay down the side of the bungalow....

some one had mentioned something about old cd's and birds dont like them but any suggestions welcome!!! theres pigeons, robins, black birds and all sorts out there , i think the little sh!tes are telling all there mates that theres a new feeding area in alford and there going mental !!

although you may be overrun with cats.

dont think ive enough time to shoot all the brids there is with either choice of gun .... lol , looking for more of scare tactics to keep them off!!

lol, yeah im gonna look a right tit honking away lol... , some one at work said something about using old cd's on bits of string as the brids dont like reflections of light etc.... think he might be taking the piss though, dont wanna raid to old cd box and wreck a load of old cds if its not going to work lol

Cd's will work. Nothing really is going to keep them all away. My grandad used to use humming wire that worked pretty well. It was a thin line like fishing line that used to hum in the wind. Best thing really is keep it well watered and when the grass grows any patchy areas will have to be re seeded.

Turf the lot.

As said lay a load of CDs out and let a firework off every few hours (depending how friendly your neighbours are).
