p slots. black and polished lip
hi, these have been sitting around for ages, never got round to doing anything with them.
the paintwork is not great, ok from a few yards back but not great up close.
likewise the polished lips are not very well polished but for £50 i can repolish them.
they are 6x14, et38
£70

If you'd posted these up a few days ago I'd have bought them, spent far too much on ebay now

Re: p slots. black and polished lip
how big are your brakes?
actually, they are in the back garden so give them a try when you swap your wheels over

They'l be 14s mate. If polo GTIs run 280s which I think they do, these will won't fit.

Thinking about it, polo GTIs might only use 256mm brakes, so you might be OK

Re: p slots. black and polished lip
Yeeah i just checked out some forums via google for the answers and the general concensous was that for 256mm you can get away with 14's and for the 280mm you can get away with 15's...
So should be okay.
Adi do you know much about tyres? I fancy trying some strech on these.. And dont have a clue..

Re: p slots. black and polished lip
I've had P slots before, and the standard size for them is 185/60 14. They're only 6J so you can't really have stretched tyres on them. you'd have to go for 155s and that would just look poo on a 6n2. Heres a pic of my old GL on them with 185/60s so you get an idea of what they look like...
You could go for 175/50s but I think they'd be expensive, but you could go low and it would look awesome.

yea 185/55s are an option but can't see them looking much different to 60s. And if their only winters I'd go for 60s, cuz thats a mega common size and will be cheaper.

Re: p slots. black and polished lip
Thanks guys!
Yeeahh they are just for the winter, a decent tyre in a cheap size will do the job, as long as they dont look too balloonish really. Shame they dont do low-pro's or have tyres that will strech for fourteens Would have been a real Po-LOW then!!

Re: p slots. black and polished lip
you can get tyres for stretch on 14s, you just need a wide enough rim take my old mk2 golf 16v for example, looked truly sick with 14x9 banded steels and 195/45 14s, they had uber stretch
