wheel colour change
thinking of painting my wheels a different colour. they are kawasaki green at the mo but im bored of them now!!
stripping the head off next week to change the stem seals n that so im thinking of painting them while the car is off the road.
I want to paint them gloss black and leave the rim silver. what do you reckon??
oh yeh its a 3 door mk2 golf gti in tornado red!!!!!

black and polished will always win.
i am pleased about this as i wans coloured wheels on the wife's new mk3 and i thought green but didnt want to be a copycat!

think your wheels look mint already but black with polished lips are awsome aswell think its a good choice

Go for it dude. Im thinking of painting my missus wheels pink on the Passat wagen. Saw an a4 estate at e38 with the pink nd really liked it.lewis1641 wrote:black and polished will always win.

Also thinking of painting the centre black then making some black spikes to sit in the other four holes. Either that or making some spiked centre caps that hide all eight holes. I dont like the look of multi stud

think some custom billet centre caps wil set the wheels apart cus no1 will have the same and its custom

I saw a black passat estate with spikes on the studs made out of cork and painted black. Looked crap close up but looked ace from a distance. Im gonna use some black nylon plastis for mine as we have plenty at work lol

its all good tho nufink wrong with custom touches and even a bonus if u get to make stuff 4 ur car whilst at work on the equiptment
