went to see a man about a dog last night

went to collect rachel's suspension last night. the seller had a tidy 5 door 83/4 gti on the drive and a late 3 door valver in the garage.

got chatting and he was talking about scrappingt the early 5 door. i asked what was wrong - the rear wiper doesnt work and the valve stem oil seals are on their way out.

i am staggered that anyone, especially an enthusiast would scrap a car because of that!

i told him to let me know when he was wanting rid and i would give him more than scrap for it to keep it alive. he seemed suprised.

seems a bit harsh to get rid because of that. stem seals is an easy fix!

No what we do liam is all chip in and buy it then like sam said track slag it and qtr mile it, we can all work on it and make it the offical bomber county dub, sticker it all up and make it fast as fu*k. It would be awsome to take to shows, track days and santa pod, then we all get to have a go.

Would be sick, we have a track car at uni and any motor club member can take it to any event they want. Its a citroen AX with a saxo bottom end. Sounds funny but im pretty certain i would be able to lift up the back end. It has nothing in it
