yer bike carbs much cheaper and easier cuz u wunt have to fook about changing compression ratio's or owt that way

what would you say is wrong with an engine if its got low compression in two cylinders.
two are at 12 bar one is at 10bar and the other is at 8 bar.
none of the cylinders lose compression when left but two arent pressurising as much.
the engine seems to run fine though.

maybe valves or head gasket wich engine is this on ???

cud be rings but then it wunt hold compression or even build much up in that fact

i cant be the head gasket or it would lose pressure over time.
the only thing i could think of is a worn camshaft stopping the valves opening fully?

that shunt effect compresion if tappets arnt ful of oil unless they that badly worn and rlli low but then again u wunt just get worn tappets on 2 cylinderd then the rest being fine its far from uneven wer plus i found this follow the link

i didnt know if they would restrict the valve movement.
could be the valves not closing quickly enough but that wouldnt be a problem at the speed the starter spins the engine.
it cant be damaged rings headgasket or valve seats as it would lose compression slowly.
so the only thing it can be is not drawing enough air into the cylnders for some reason.

extremely bad carbon deposits in the head ports but with a skim and a new head gasket and valve seats grinded with the ports cleaned out it should be fine providing the rings are ok

no cus compresion testing an engine with flat battery with ruin the results cus u need it 2 be turning over at the same speed evrytime you test each cylinder plus did he have the throttle fully open for each cylindr test cuz that wud ruin the results if he failed that

fare nuf then well when u speak to him next if u ask about throttle being fully open when testing and also u wanna ask him if he will test the cylinders that are low on compression again if ther still low then he should wet test the cylinders wich is testing them again with some oil down the bores and if it improves the result then it means its rings

it would be obvious if it was the rings.it would lose pressure when you lave the compression tester on and it would burn oil when it was running.
i think it might just be that the throttle wasnt open.
all the cylinders were in the green any way and the engine runs well so i dont think it would be anything serious.

tru well if it runs smooth and revs up wilingly then it cant be much rong...



and with a good service and clean up like 're seat valves de-coke head new head gasket' will be able to a few extra ponies hiding in ther Smile
