Took my air intake off my pb lump today to get at the rocker cover and found this...
I'm guessing this is not healthy....any ideas?

Re: Oil in the throttle body...
The way the crankcase ventilation works it'l always allow oil vapour to go through the inlet and be burnt off, but a big build up like you had is bad for performance. A smooth and shiny throttle body allows more air to enter and more quickly, thus more power and better throttle response

A healthy engine should take years to build up like yours had I would have thought. If not the flying saucer could be at fault, or your rocker cover could be missing its gauze

Re: Oil in the throttle body...
if the engines breathing heavy, take the crankcase breather pipe off the air box and put it in a catch tank
or if you dont want to spend any money get an empty lucazade bottle and put it in that, make surr you put some holes in the top of the bottle and block the hole on the air box

Re: Oil in the throttle body...
digifants dont like it when the breather is disconnected(mine doesnt anyway)
but you could route it to a catch tank to collect the oil and then back into the air intake.
would stop most of the build up without disconnecting the breather.
