Viva Skeg Vegas 2011

The date has been announced at the 4th of june for skegvegas. As a local club I feel we have a duty to attend. Its slightly heavier on the air cooled side but still plenty of water to go round. Last year the weather was stunning and hoping for even better this year!

Yep that is a good idea on this one, did they have club stands last year, not been to this one before as always been busy when its on. We could see if we could have a club stand, i dont mind sorting this all out.

Do you want to carry on drumming up the intrest from everone and see how many confirmations we can get?

if you want a club stand its best to to arrive together as a club, was ment to be a clubpolo stand but we all got split up

might go again this year. it depend how i feel near june. last year was nice though.

Last year was ROASTING hot! I'm up for a clubstand if we can get enough of us, the wold stand last year wasn't great, we had members cars dotted all over the place.

Well i have the number for the main guy (Toby) who organises and set this show up, i will give him a ring and see what he can do for us. If he cant do anything should we arrange to meet early at a macs for breakfast then head stright down there to claim a good spot. We need a club banner made up.

You do have to be there really early to get a good spot as people tend to just park wherever they like. But sounds like a plan

Sounds good to me, would be cool to get all parked up together. Even if it did mean waking up well early

Would be a pretty early start and we would need a communal meet point

Seeing as most of us are from this side of skegness I suggest we meet at Gunby roundabout, on the A158 Horncastle side of the roundabout about 200 yeards away from the roundabout is a large layby, would be a safe place to meet then convoy into the holiday resort of the century

I think Gunby roundabout is pretty much on route for everyone on here, I'm sure you Louth lads would go that way. Plus its the only place close to Skegness I can think of that has a safe and big enough place for us to meet. I think gates opened at 10am last year, probably be best to ask Toby what times best to arrive to get a good spot and to make sure we're all together. Guessing us Lincoln lads would have to be leaving at around 7.30-8am.

well toby is one of me best mates, and i co organised the first show with him (he did the air cooled and i did the watercooled

so im sure i can have a word and make sure we get a proper stand as there wasnt a proper clubstand layout last year and it was a mass free for all i thinks, yes its mainly aircooled which is the direction it went , but its still nice to see a collection if watercooled vw's , and they have to be vw's no vag group cars are allowed other than vw... lol ..

ill find out some more info, its far too early to be arranging stuff for then yet, id wait till around 6 weeks before....then hit it hard

ill have done plenty to turbo bug by then for it to be worthy of people looking at

mk3 shouldnt be too far behind the 8v lot, afterall an 8v isnt a fully engine is it. on a better note cant wait for skeggvegas.
