Did someone say mini :P

Hello,
some of you might have read the forum about doing a joint bombercounty minis / dubs meet/run sometime, so I thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm John K, I'm 18 and I live in kettlethorpe nr Lincoln. I drive a 1992 mini city e 998cc restored by me n my dad and am currently working on my latest project, a 1979 austin/morris mini clubman estate. Hope to get a campervan and bug at some point, but I'm not rolling in funds, being a student, off to uni in september.
Hope to come along to a meet sometime in the mini

I work at Bifrangi in Lincoln,dont know if you know him?

Where abouts mate, I live at park Farm, if you know it lol, just outside the village, but postcoded as kettlethorpe.

I havn't got a clue what his name is to be honest dude i try and avoid him cos he drives a mi...... ha ha just kidding.

I will have a word next time i see him,it looks clean,it's white i think has a straight through centre pipe and sounds like a cow moo'ing when he shoots up the road

I dabbled with my mates mini many years ago,stuck a mg turbo lump in it which was fun.Had to bash hell out the bulkhead to get it in.Then he never bothered to uprate brakes or suspension so rolled it 3 days after the conversion.

I know Park Farm, used to know a couple of people who lived down there, although I've forgotten their names. I was in the village itself, first house on the right, moved out about 5 years ago.

I had a couple of old MG Metro's when I was down there that I was stripping for parts and selling to the mini crowd, but my parents put a stop to it becuase they didn't like the drive looking like a scrap yard

there is also a local rod/yank forum - bombercountycruisers. could be ace to hook all 3 bomber county groups for a mega meet. obviously all the best parking spaces will be reserved for the vw's and we'll let the aa and rac know to put on extra staff for all the minis!

I know Pete the guy who runs Bomber county cruisers and have been to a couple of their shows at Chapel st len.Infact my old man flogged him a 1960 Caddy.

Im very much looking forward to a joint meet. Would love to have a look around a mini.

A few weeks ago i was driving back from skegness and 5 mini's wizzed past me in a row. the first one had wheel arches that looked like they had been extended by about a foot! Since then i knew we had to get involved with you guys!

think i know who u mean mate. And that'll teach him not to be a total dick then, can't turbo something and leave it on standard brakes or susp lol, ohh well lol.

3 bomber countys would be good, but we all know that the best display would be the minis lol.

Well when you mini lads break down(and lets face it,it's gunna happen ) im sure if you ask one of the yank lads they will pop your car in the trunk and take you to the meet..........

They would be very good cars if they had VW build quality, but very good wasn't good enough, so the next level or quality, britishness had to be gone for , pure excellence haha
haha, So, at the meet there will be a load of yanks, each with a mini in the boot and a VW been towed ??
