rocker cover gasket, cam belt and tensioner, water pump possibly (or is that off the alternator belt like on the gti?)
and a fast road cam!

Re: head gasket going :(
before you replace it take it on a long run get it nice and warm then check it when your finished if there no or noticeably less chances are its just condensation, cold weather + short journeys make it worse
if its hg they'll be other signs, over heating, oil in the expansion tank, excessive smoke from burning oil if the cars has over heated i would recommend getting the head re skimmed in case the head has distorted from the over heating

How does your rad look?? Is it in good condition? It might only be leaking when the engine is at its optimum temp, this is when the pipes will become soft and cracks open up, plus at this temp 9 out 10 you will be in the car drifting so wont notice until the dash light comes on. Have you started the car and just left it stood still untilt he engie warms up and the rad fan kicks in???? I would do this first and have a look then, also have you checked the end of your exhaust after a long drive to see if there is any excess water/moisture in it???

no mate it wont cost a lot, well it really depends on if it is really bad that we need to skim the head etc etc but that isnt a hard job ad wont cost much either. We will have a good look at it 2morrow.
