cheap brand new tyres
hi all, i have just bought a tyre changing machine and managed to get a trade account with a local tyre supplier.
just had some example prices text through and it looks like i can do the following...
225/40/18 £50
205/55/16 £45
195/50/15 £38 these are not the cheapest of the cheap - they are budget brands but dependable sellers at the wholesaler
apparently they can do cheaper but these are a better budget tyre - i guess same as everything else you get what you pay for. they also supply premium brands
i can fit tyres for £5 each.
a few proviso's.
this isnt my job so i would only be able to do it on evenings/sunday and i would need a few day's notice usually.
i am not a professional mechanic. i have been shown how to remove and replace tyres by a pro but i am not trained beyond that although i would guess i have fitted around 100 tyres over the years. that is not to say i am a cowboy but you know where i am coming from. i will take utmost care with your wheels but i offer no guarantee that i wont scratch them! i havent marked any yet though
my wheel balancer is a portable one. it does a decent job at sensible speeds but above motorway speeds it isnt always vert accurate. again, i will do my best.
i dont have provision for storage and disposal of old tyres so you would need to take them away with you

Re: cheap brand new tyres
cant the tyre supplier that you buy ur tyres charge u a fee to remove the tyres. i know it costs us roughly 2quid a tyre to get them disposed of
