think it mite b easier havin a members rides page guys them doin it on the welcome members page etc if you get me

Well we have the dub rides section, but I think a "showroom" section like they have on lowlife would be better, where you can just post pictures, rather than a project thread

mmm i get what both of you are saying but now i have this dubride section i think i will leave it for the time been, however i am thinking about breaking that section into, like you, build thread, showroom(for pics only) etc etc, would you prefer something like that????

sounds like a plan, as some people don't really mod their car but might wanna show us pics, but it doesn't really come under the "project" category.

ye i think thats a good idea,i know its not ideal to break things down too much but we could have the dubrides section for the modders be it conversions to stereo swaps or dust caps etc, then have another section "showroom" just for those realy special pics of our pride and joy. possibly include good locations for photography of the dub, catch my drift

harry thats a goodn idea bud. i think breaking dubrides into two or three sections as you have projects, showrooms and hints and tips. hints and tips being how to do a boot install with pictures, if you know what i mean.

I was about to suggest a hints and tips or guides section, where we can show people how to do certain dub related jobs. Could be a helpdul section, and over time will make a good archive of valuable info.

Yeah that would be a pretty handy section!

Theres quite a few helpful topics on the mk2 owners forum and golf gti forum that could be "stolen"

i agree with that actualy,sounds to be a prity nifty idea and will defo be of some use in time when we have a collection of information

well it'll just be a librairy of usefull information that people can look at when doing work to there car to find out exactly how something is done to save them time and money in the process, making them a happier person.

+1 dude,im hoping to start mine tomoro with a rear spring install wich will be related to clearance issues while running 19's

al get some up on my arch prep and spraying, as am doing the fronts tomorow if weather permits me, also in the weeks to come there will be my wheels being sprayed. so if kai gets it sorted then all the how tos can start be loaded up. on tuesday i will be removing a mk2 dash aswell so that can come up here

Thats a good one Liam, 1st time I removed the dash from mine it took a lot of headscratching till I descovered the 2 10mm nuts under the scuttle panel

Whens Kai gonna pull his finger out and get this "guide" section done? I'm ready and waiting to steal a load of them off the mk2 forum!

i removed one from my old mk3 and that had em same as mk2 but did that without consulting the haynes, removed my spair dash from the donner car and fucked it as i also forgot about them ten mil bolts, so i think a mk2 dash removal guide is a good one. and i'll do a bike carb fitting one when i finally put my carbs on, just incase any one else wants to embark on the bike carbs.

I reckon a heater matrix one would be good too, loads of people are too afraid to take on that job.

dont need to change mine yet, bu am sure someone will at some point

Ayway i will be starting work on it now.

Rite so i have changed this section now and broke it down into different sections, if anyone has any suggestion of what else to add then let me know.

I think the haynes workshop bit should be in the garage section....

Sorted mate, have moved it to the garage however do you think that maybe there should be any other sections for the dubrides???? Or is the show & shine and build thread enough?

Maybe a non dub rides section? In case anyone has a daily shitter they'd like to share with us?
