Recruiting members

How are we gonna go about recruiting people to the site? The more members the better and more helpful it will be for all of us, especially as we will all be local to one another.

I was thinking of maybe getting a few little cards printed out with the site address on and then if we see a sweet dub around Lincolnshire then just stick it under their wiper?

Any other ideas?

Very good idea mate, yeah defo do that. Is anyone any good at making a leaflet design up? Does everyone want me to have a load printed out and bring them with me to the next meet, then everyone can take a load and start promoting the site?????

Well i am thinking of ordering some more stickers so when i do i will also get the web address printed under it.

Yeah, I can have some printed at work if you want? Won't cost anyone that way. What size we thinking? If its just like business card size we can all keep a few in our wallet. I can maybe knock up a design later and go search for some card if you want...

Yeah business cards would be good, what about A5 size leaflets???? Will post a thread up for others to try and get some design ideas on the go.

Ok it looks like we are all up for getting the word out, so lets get a quick basic design made up and a load printed out then hunters some smart dubs to cover them in um

Very Basic, do we want 2 sided? The printers here can print on both sides if you want?

What info do we want on them?

I'm doing this at work and the people in my office keep looking, just waiting for one of them to ask what "bombercountydubs" is

I think thats not bad, whats the feeling towards a tint or outline of colour around the plane?? (just throwing the ideas out there)

Yeah that'd be cool. Ideally someone with Photoshop will be able to do one with a few effects (Caistor_bmx ). Colour wouldn't be an issue really. I quite like the black and whiteness about it though.

And ye,i agree with a bit of onfo but if your planning on doing double sided cards then weve got a whole side to design aswell,this might be a good place for that info,and on one side just have the club logo and weby???

Yeah but i am thinking though that is it worth doing both sides as im just thinking that how many people will turn the leaflet over? Do we not think we should keep it simple and stright to the point to get the word out there?

ahhh, i thaught you were talking about the business cards , but ye,id say leaflets should be one sided otherwist it would be treated as junk imo

If we stick it under their wiper im sure theyll see both sides, its likely that if someone with a decent modded dub saw something on their car with a VW badge on they would give it a read, I know I def would!

Also we could write something like "your car has been chosen to be part of bombercountydubs" to make it a bit personal.

Its very basic and will want making look pretty/sound better but this is what I was thinking. Maybe add the lincolnshire flag somewhere in greyscale too?
