mk golf heating

what forum would be complete without the good old mk2 heating system complaints.

my car is cold. it is stupid.

if you let the engine warm up and put the heater on the cabin does get warm. if you do it on the move though it it is significantly cooler.

the air is warmer when pointing to the windscreen.

if you put the fan on position 3 and have the air coming out of the centre vents, the air is cold.

there are no signs that the heater matrix is leaking.

the valves in the hoses to the matrix have been removed.

thermoistat is new.

any ideas?

dave mate, i can tell you what it is. in the matrix there is the hot cold flap, it has foam on it to seal it when warm, if the foam has dislodge cold will come through, if the flaps broken when your on the move, more air is pushed through and this will push it open slightly and let the cooler air in. upgrade to the mk3 matrix, im going to eventually, all though my heaters are beautifully warm at the moment.

yeh mate, haha, but me n martin sorted that, all cos the bypass valves were fucked

dave should pay u and martin to solve his heating problems

i just want the g60 steallies when dave is done with them, then i will be happy.

al take dans of his vr when hes finished with them and you can take daves, sound a good deal. both hull council blue

nah, dans are 8j on front and 9j on the rear, loads better, in lime green i would do them though

Are dan's wheels blue too?

yes they are and i do beleave its actually in the matrix, have you had foam come out your vents? if so its that flap, would probs be easier to swap matrixes mate tbh
