thanks mate, not sure waht you mean about the splitter?

I see this about all the time in Scartho. Its definately my favorite dub. Did you buy it or build it?

sadly i cannot take all the credit for the work done on the car, i bought it as a incomplete project. the guy before me told me he had got bored and had recently lost his job, i have thrown some money at her and had her sat under my drive being worked on for quite a while before getting her on the road and this is the result. but i am far from finished

if only it has small lights

Wow mate,i dont normally look at mk1's too much as they are a bit small for my liking but you got this one SPOT ON!I would have to say it is one of my favourite MK1'S to date!
Whats going on with that front splitter though!

I can see how the front splitter looks a little odd but i recon it looks awesome at the same time, one cool little mod would be to get some cable and do this on the front. IMO it looks awesome and is a nice little touch.

my only thought on the splitter is the gap at the back, just looks like it isnt on at the correct angle but having googled others they are all at the same angle. not critising by the way

I have not been happy with the way the splitter sits on the car for a while now and it is currently off the car, i also dont like the gap at the sides as it looks astho it is not on at the correct angle. I took it off hoping i could bend the tabs to alter the angle but as it is carbon fibre the tabs are fiber glasses on so i could not bend them, i have seen loads of pictures of mk1 with the same size splitters but plastic and they have have theres at steeper angles which closes the gap, the only way i can do this is to drill new holes in the front of the car.


As for the cables on the splitter i think they look amazing on the mini and suit a moden car but i think on a old car they do kinda look like there holding it together, altho i am really impressed with the photo shop work

Ive got CS5 but is just aint registering in my brain so its there to make my desktop look pretty.

i like how it looks, i want my mk1 project now. it was nice to park next to it in college though. need my paint sortin.
