i quite like it, looks realy clean aswell withminimul paint damage over the years so its a thumbs up on the bodywork. recon you need to deck it aswell,maby not low enough to rip your bumpers of with pebles but deafinatly lower than stock hight, other than that its a tidy car to start with mate.

Lowerin is deffo on the cards if u read da post fully
Never done b4 because up until end of last year it was every day car, now thanks to a zafira its my toy
As for starting with modifing, thats about it, i like it that way and i dont have much in the way of spare readies to throw at it as i now have a 3rd child and they deff come first

wel u can pick up coil-overs relatively cheap nowadays or just a simple set of springs...
third child on the way i feel sorry for u i can hardly afford to pay parents rent let alone children best of luck to you and i'm looking forward to pictures of a slammed mk4 on the forum

Thanks and lol - been there with payin parents rent, a whole £10 a week lol, 3rd child already here, now 8wks old and the reason i took the golf off the road 4 the winter

my bad,shouldnt have read so quick, just so excited with another mk4 on the site lol, good luck with the kids dude. the good thingabout a dub is that if the funds arnet available, its still cool coz its adub lol, but ye loweringit would bea good port of call. as and when you are going to do it will you be going for coilovers or springs and uprated dampers?

yers i love fast cornering ..
cant afford my own car for the road yet so i sometimes get temp cover insurance on my mums motor and its not particularly fast so i have no choice but to make up time in bends

i'd be better off if i didn't have a job lol
i also have morgage and csa 2 pay!
it was never about the money anyway, i have lowered my cars in the past and did not find it very practical with kids when our roads are so shit!

I have to admit I'd never change my set up for coilovers on mine cuz I've been there and done that and its too tempting to go as low as possible, and my tracking gets knocked out if I go over the smallest pothole as it is, Lincolnshire's roads are in a shocking state!

its not immaculate thou, the camera lies, front arches startin to rust on the lips and the top of the sills need doin due to kids scuffin their little paws on them
