The dreaded time of year!
Just took my car for this years mot and service.
Such a crappy feeling waiting for them to get back to you about it, ive given it a once over and should do too badly.
I have money to fix it, but its designated for a massive mods shopping list which i have been putting together for a few weeks now.
fingers crossed the mot wont suck up to much money and then my car wont look like a trolley for my first bombercounty meet!

Re: The dreaded time of year!
heres the verdict...
passed them mot.
but the service came to £620
unfortunatly my discs all round were shagged and so i said they should replace pads too.
my alternator belt had a crack in
also my wheels are not round or true
so i need to buy some alloys as they are steelys and i was going to get rid anyway
and my tracking is apparently the worst they have had, ever! hahahahaha
so i am getting that done straight after fitting my new coils this weekend/ start of next week!
according to the internets price guide for a mk4 with my miles and steeleys my car is a write off! haha
time to visit the bank of mum and dad!

Haha i think they did to an extent. but didnt want to skimp on brakes really, i knew they were on there way out so needed doing eventually. it was F1 garage in lincoln, i was enticed by there special deals.
wont be going back.
And now my car feels like new, its better than ever, just needs ballanced wheels and tracking.
got some suspension to fit but ive lost my 7mm allen key so cant fit

Re: The dreaded time of year!
yeah F1 not the best of places to take it - would have been alot cheaper to so some of it urself and shop around 4 the rest. Atl least its work that needed doin, and i'm sure u kno some1 with a 7mm allen key
Re: The dreaded time of year!
yeah brakes are faily vital peices of kit. so i dont mind spending it on them, if it was for something that ive never heard of or is useless and just part of the test then i would be more gutted.
i bought a 7mm from unipart in york when i went to pick up my new leather seats
