First time user

Hi all,

Just registered on the site after my lad (Isaac) was handed a card by Kai

Been in to VWs for years (went to Bug Jam 1) and have had both water and air cooled. Currently own a VR6 Corrado that needs a little work after the ex-wife took offence at me wanting a divorce

No air cooled at present, but am currently in negotiations to buy a rapid Beetle (all will be revealed soon).

See you at some point soon, especially when I have the Corrado back on the road

Evening Gaz, I certainly do remember you. How's things? Things have changed a bit in my life, still got the Corrado but lost all the other stuff. I'll catch up with you at some point soon.

Hi Dave, I remember meeting you at the party. Unfortunately I got rid of the engines about 6 weeks ago to make room for the new motor. I sold most of what I had and just have some new bits (chrome tacho, uprated gearbox mounts etc) left.

not to worry, should have struck while the iron was hot.

are the engine mounts fit for a post 74 bug? if so what woulod you want for them?

Will the VR6 be making an appearance this year?

The mounts are for a swing axle box and are the heavy duty versions. I also have an engine strap thta better locates the engine and box. I'll put a post up in the for sale section as I also have a Sunpro chrome tacho.

Th eplan is that the VR6 WILL make an appearance this year.

Thanks mate, it's okay I have found somebody who appreciates VWs a little more than my ex

Right then, after my last negotiation fell through, I have now got myself a T4 for the camping therein and (drum roll please) a 1956 VW Oval window'd Beetle. Currently stuffed full of 2332cc's of meaty goodness. I've had a 6 point roll cage fitted and will remain road legal. Should be good for a 12 second 1/4 when I've got to grips with it. I'll post some pics once I've got all the stuff swapped over on to my new laptop

Thanks all. The Oval is a bit of a goer, Limited to 4500rpm at the moment but goes like the clappers

Nope, just needs a little tidying up
