Turbo Explosion Prevention
Hey guys, gals and not forgetting liam (gays)
As I made pretty clear today... my turbo is about to throw itself with 200,000rpm of force into my engine. Anyone know of any good local specialists who could re-firb or should I just go with turbotechnics??
Much love... Sam

Re: Turbo Explosion Prevention
Buy a repair kit and do it yourself.Bearing change and oil seals and your away.Simples. http://www.turborepairs.com/repairkits.html
Re: Turbo Explosion Prevention
Would rather not this time, would be tempted to repair an old turbo but wouldnt want to put it back in without been balanced and stuff. I dont trust myself going DIY on a device that spins up to 200,000 rpm
Re: Turbo Explosion Prevention
Fair enough To be fair i used to send mine away on the TT for piece of mind and warranty backup
Re: Turbo Explosion Prevention
Yer, it will be £180 plus vat for a pro re build so not as bad as turbotechnics £350 quote and that is with a years warrenty, 4 day turnaround and they come to my house to pick it up and drop it off
Re: Turbo Explosion Prevention
Thats bloody good!I paid £690 for both my turbos to be rebuilt and ceramic coated.Where is that?
Re: Turbo Explosion Prevention
That is just the basic price, for bearins and seals. Middlands Turbos they are called, spoke to a nice sounding woman this morning... it was slightly arousing
Re: Turbo Explosion Prevention
so you wont be spitting oil into the engine anymore then sam.
