my work bike
i wanted a hack to get to work on that i wasnt bothered if is sat outside in the rain all day. decided a cruiser would be cool. this frame was rescued from a skip but was bright yellow, not exactly subtle. i stripped the paint, prepped the rust (but left the dents) then hand painted grey then red primer, then brown over the top. i then matted it off to age it. i am hoping as it gets used it will wear through to the primer in places.
anyway, the cheap build went out the window. the saddly is a traditional brooks - over £100 retail! i paid £40. the rims are full on downhill race rims. seatpost is an old skool U.S.E. and the bars are reversed Scotts, circa 1992. tyres were £60 but were too cool to turn down.
amazingly this bike owes me more than my golf build does!
here's a pic...

Cheers dude.
I have bought a sprocket that bolts onto a 6 bolt disc mount so i'm going to try fixed offroad this summer.

Re: my work bike
Looks pretty hard. I used to spend loads on bikes but no more. I have as much fun on my 30 quid diamond back single speed as i did on my 2.5k airborne titanium beauty.
Re: my work bike
haha yh but i wouldnt trust a £30 diamondback off a 20ft plus drop =p

Re: my work bike
This was mine before I sold it, I built this up as a trials bike when I was about 15 with my paper round and saturday job money. ended up costing me roughly what my car owes me. A few years ago I changed a few things to make it more usable. Some of you may spot the Magura HS33 hydraulic brake
