basically, any one need ne mechanics doing pm me. cheap labour, u just need to supply parts. and depending on location travel costs will need to be included, just let us know as am trying to get my self out there and also earn me some well need cash.

The clutch cable has pulled through partially thanks to rust. There are a few ways to go about it - buy a mk1 golf repair kit and drill a few holes in and stick it on - take it to the local VW specialist which will cost a lot or weld on a plate. Don't really have any good pics cos its in an awkward position.

it possible to do mate. if on sunday at the meet you give me the details i should say mk1 repaire kit and welded were it needs to be. but for me to weld it ad have to get it to a welder, and i dont personally have 1 but there is on in riby, which doesnt help you much. but get me the mk1 thing and a welder and we can come up with some sort or arrangement mate

I'll see where I'm at this end first but let you know. Supposed to be getting the number of a welder/mechanic here who has a mk2 rocco. If need be I dont wanna drive too far cos it just tears up the gearbox. Been sat on my drive for over a week now though I want to drive again!!

i was that way a few weeks ago for some tyres was 30 pound in fuel round trip from goxhill. but keep us posted n what ur doing ash mate

am sure martin would let you borrow his welder if u ask'd him nicely then could take the welder to ash and sort it out on his drive way
