pickin gup bottom end next week sometime hopefully.

also decided to swap out the coilovers for springs and dampers with someone from this forum.
also got 2x koni adjustable rear dampers off of dave.

still waiting to hear about when i can pick the shell up and looking at finding a steal place so the sunroof can be welded and some other bits and bobs can be fabricated to fit.

not much of an update i know but today i spent the day at martins doing fuck all but trying to powerslide a 100cc gokart

all in all it was a fun day,sorry ian
just need to fix it after liam broke it

i said to you it would break, u said its held so far, then it broke. productive day though me thinks. especially daves new car mods

its oki martin i did miss out on another good tuesday but the more i work the more money i have to get the rocco insured and taxed....

some child put a yellow strap round daves steering wheel and removed his gti badge.

to much shitty welding, but ian has a list of welding to do for me n martin to enjoy it on a tuesday with out him

i am running short of welding wire again though.

i be busy working on my car most days off but it'll be fixed for u 2 brake again liam..

shell being picked up on sunday. welding hopefully next thursday, spraying friday. engine in on the weekend after, mot'd tax'd and insured for skegvegas.

Looks good Liam, how long ago was this pic taken for you to now say it does need work to it as it looks like a minter to me.

it was never a minter but it wasnt in bad condition.
although now it has had some dodge attempts at repair panels and it completely in peices and looks very sorry for its self

and here it is in its new home.


1stly i took everything out to see how the floor looks when theres no soundproofing and tarry stuff on it

a little more needs to come off yet

had to sort some rust on the passenger side near the window, didnt get pictures and then i fitted some poly carbs

then while ian was welding something me n martin got creative on the roof.

ians welding was bunginng some holes up only got 1 pic


then yestewrday afternoon i thought i'd have a go at welding, 1stly i put holes in the car, then asked a welder friends what to do and he said turn the heat down and the wire feed up so i did.



today i have done nothing but am going to sort the windscreen surround and wiper blanks out in a second and fill primer things and maybe spray them with tornado red. thanks for looking

well its structual again, thanks to ian and his welding. now i have a few pics to upload, need to just weld the sil to the car on the left hand side but am doing that this afternoon.
car may make it to skeg at this point. engines in on tuesday.

well its been a week of stuff happening. basically last tuesday at 11 oclock i parked neg up and me n mart ripped every thing out of it and put it in the 3 door. by 3:30 neg looked like this

then i rewelded my manifold and got the engine in position by about half 4

then wired it up but fuel pump wasnt priming.
next day i went out and plugged a plug in and it fired, also decided to fit my harnesses

then the rest of the front end.

hand some wiring troubles (being colour blind doesnt help) but i sorted it and bled the brakes, took it for a drive, and now where it sites.


also sprayed the rear arch but havnt got a pic.

just waiting for the funds to mot it and tax it
