Project Dotty, the T25
Hello everyone....I'm finally back on the VW scene and it feels so great to be back
May I introduce you all to my new project for this year, Dotty the Orange (mostly) T25...
I got collected and drove her home christmas eve and am looking forward to spending the winter/spring months getting her ready for a summer of lovin'...even have my Bug Jam tickets ordered
Right...first off, she's a Import LHD with 71000k on the clock and a 1.9d in the back and is on the hole pretty mechanically solid...the body work however needs some love so that is gonna be my first major step including a dent on the off side front and some the rather large patch job on the near side...Inside I plan to keep her pretty standad as a day van with probably just a custom built cabinate for a cooker and maybe a buddy seat
Comments, ideas and advice welcome...oh, and I'll need some Bomber stickers if there are any kicking around???
All I've done so far is paint the badges orange and an 8ball on my rusting tow bar
Bring on the summer =D

Thanks man
Well the cold weather has slowed my down a little this week, but I've had a scout round and made out a list of what needs doing... gotta start out with the boring stuff first though...needs a chip in the windown repairing before it cracks and the rear n/s wheel bearing or cv joint needs replacing...gotta get it up in the air this saturday and have a look at which one it is...either way, I've heard they are a bugger to do.... anyone had any experiance of one who could point me the right way?

Re: Project Dotty, the T25
Been out today after work just to take a few photos of the worst bits...if anyone would give me a rough idea of repair ideas or cost I would be very greatful
Also...the last owner stuck these stickers on...I dont like them, I want to remove them Any ideas how? I was thinking some form of heat gun but the windows are tinted with film on the inside and I didnt wanna effect that? Anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks All

Re: Project Dotty, the T25
Well, its been a productive few weeks so I thought I'de put a little update on, if only to record my progress
Done some work to the inside to get her feeling more 'camper' like... see if you can guess my theme
Still some work to do, ie curtains etc but its getting there
Also ordered myself a central numberplate for the front and won some bummper rubbers on FleaBay...Its really smartened up the front end...
Then it was time to do something about the paint work, at least for now. I dont have the money for a full respray yet so it was time to get out the rattle cans...It'll do for now...
From this..

Re: Project Dotty, the T25
Just another little update...decided I'm gonna ratlook the outside of the van since I dont have the budget to get a factory finish...so gonna do little bits here and there as and when money allows... So far I've added a black board in place of a rear window, some cheap trims until I can afford some alloys and a free hand Gecko on the side that I'm gonna sticker bomb Oh...and finally found and fitted a rear bumper (rubber bump still to get) Comments/ideas welcome

Re: Project Dotty, the T25
from the pictures i think that looks too tidy to rat.
but if you do it needs slamming! and some old school mercedes penta alloys.
