retarded clutch question...
This is a stupid question, but I'm feeling groggy and can't work it out for mysel!
My clutch bites really high, and it was slipping due to my greasy hands on the friction plate. Now this had worn off and although its high, it was biting ok. Now its started slipping again. When I had the clutch off it seemed to have a decent amount of meat on it. Anyways my question is to get the biting point lower on the pedal do I tighten the cable or loosen it?

Re: retarded clutch question...
cheers dude. Them cables are normally a bitch to adjust due to rust on the threads, wanted to be able to sort it in one go And its always much easier to stick a bottle jack under the clutch arm to slacken the cable. Top tip for you kids!

We're both retards, I had to tighten it stop it slipping. The pedal feels a bit odd now but its biting half way and not slipping. Just hope its not so tight that it snaps!

Dont be so bloody stupid
You tighten the clutch up,you are engaging it more

If it works better than before then I'm happy. Might let it off a tad more though just to be safe. I don't mind it biting high its just the slipping I can't tolerate
