he myt be able to pik u up then i dont no wich way he's coming from and its on my mums car lol i know its uncool but hey ho its transport and mums insurers try fleacing me at 2k per year cant afford it so i go on temp cover for £30 a fort night every now and then...
dont know how they work it out at 2k a year to add me to her policy but only £30 a fortnight on temp cover makes no sence to me.

I thought they were integrated into the beam? If not I might just swap my stub axles over from my gti beam...

Re: my mk2 golf
How hard is it to swap the stub axles from drum to disc? I thought they were just bolted on? I see you hammered yours?

Re: my mk2 golf
bolts were covered in rust on the gti axle, guess cos there exposed compaired to the drums, but its fairly simple to be honest. few hours work should think

Re: my mk2 golf
haha, took me 2 hours just to get the damn handbrake cables out of my donor car, they were tighter than a nun's chuff in them grommets in the floor, and I have to remove the exhaust and heatshield, but I can live without a handbrake for a day or 2 if it gives me any hassle

Re: my mk2 golf
That was on the donor, tbh that car came apart pretty well considering it was rotten! Its just been a pain in the arse fitting most of it to my car, but it was my 1st conversion and I did make problems for myself along the way, I would do things differently next time, was a big learning curve

Re: my mk2 golf
you need an update liam but i will take it upon myself to do it for u ......
last tuesday we tuk neg to martins and got set on the very slightly blowing exhaust welded in a new piece of pipe from down pipe at bottom of the manifold so that the pipe diameter is correct to fit the rest of the system and we now have a sweeter sounding valver wich is taking some getting used to...
know i can't hear liam coming down the road in the morning to my house and is verry strange
